Getting started with My Aged Care
This factsheet developed by My Aged Care provides helpful information regarding aged care specific to LGBTI elders. Aged care providers must make sure people of diverse gender, sexuality or who are intersex feel safe, included and respected.
National LGBTI Virtual Visitor Scheme
The aim of the project is to reduce isolation and connect LGBTI elders with LGBTI community visitors via skype. There is no cost involved and the program can be tailored to personal needs. For example, we can provide an android tablet device to the LGBTI elder (and provide ongoing technical support); set up the tablet device with a user-friendly screen; arrange internet access; arrange a time that suits the elder to connect.
